Various aspects of the National Labor Relations Board’s new notice posting rule are addressed in a memorandum from the NLRB general counsel’s office. The memo contains a series of frequently asked questions on topics such as what the notice says, where it must be posted, which employers are subject to the rule, and how the rule will be enforced. An attachment to the memo reproduces the language of the notice, which is titled “Employee Rights Under the National Labor Relations Act.” The agency plans to finalize the official document at least two weeks prior to the Nov. 14 posting deadline. Employers will then be able to download the notice from NLRB’s website, at www.nlrb.gov, or obtain free copies from NLRB regional offices. 09-12-2011.
